AN EXPLORATION OF LIFE—RAW, HONEST, AND RISK TAKING
Steel House Review began as a writing workshop in 2016, with four originating members from Texas Tech University’s Creative Writing program in English. With a desire for focusing on aesthetic and strong narrative voice, the workshop earned publications for pieces ranging from children’s fiction, historical nonfiction, and metered poetry. The writing workshop offered a unique path for literary exploration and collaboration. The agile themes allowed the workshop to grow and connections offered opportunities in publishing. With a desire for publishing beautiful stories and honest writing, the Steel House Review emerged conceptually and grew into fruition as a web-published literary journal with a biannual publication schedule.
We strive to write with merit, edit with lucidity, and observe with honesty.
